India captain Shubman Gill said India’s recent T20I defeats will not affect the ODI series against England. He said the two formats have different players, different goals, and different team mindsets.
Gill said the three ODIs are important preparation for the 2027 World Cup, which will be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. He argued that the conditions in England should resemble the conditions expected at that tournament.
