What happened

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said that elections in India are conducted transparently at every stage. He presented transparency as being ensured through concurrent audit by political parties, candidates, or their representatives at all stages of the election process.

Gyanesh Kumar also said elections are held strictly according to the Constitution, law, and Election Commission of India (ECI) instructions. He made these comments in Lucknow at the second regional conference on Electoral Literacy Clubs (ELC 2.0) and ECI-NET.

The Chief Election Commissioner linked the event to efforts to strengthen electoral literacy and democratic awareness among young voters through educational institutions.
