Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon killed at least 11 people, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry and state news. Lebanese officials described these attacks as the deadliest episodes since a precarious Israel–Hezbollah truce began on 20 June.
Lebanese reporting identified two strike locations and gave the following casualty figures:
• A strike targeting a home near the village of Ansar killed seven people, including three children, and wounded two.
• A strike near Deir al-Zahrani killed four people and wounded 17.
