Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari ordered an inquiry into an alleged incident involving a private power generation company and the Baitarani river in Keonjhar district.
The allegation says that the private power generation company discharged excess water into the Baitarani river while floods were ongoing in Keonjhar district.
The allegation further says that the private power generation company did not inform the authorities.
Suresh Pujari directed the Keonjhar district collector to investigate the allegation and take appropriate action based on the inquiry findings.
