Landslide at the Keojaring–Byaching road construction site near Nacho
A landslide struck a road construction site on the Keojaring–Byaching road near Nacho in Upper Subansiri district on Friday. Four road-construction workers were reported buried under debris. One person’s body was recovered, and search operations were suspended due to operational constraints. Search reportedly involved Army personnel, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) battalions, engineering force units, state police, and local volunteers.
Vehicle fall into the Lohit River near Sarti
On Thursday, a vehicle reportedly fell into the Lohit River from a road running along a cliff near Sarti in Anjaw district. Rescuers reportedly saved some people. A woman’s death was confirmed, and three other people were reported missing.
