Delhi Police has acted against the circulation of child sexual abuse material by arresting 10 people and registering 10 FIRs in a five-day operation in Central Delhi. What happened
Delhi Police said the operation ran between July 13 and July 18 in the Central district. Police arrested 10 Delhi residents aged between 25 and 30 and alleged that they had been transmitting, downloading, storing, and circulating child sexual abuse and exploitative material.
Police said the action followed digital analysis and international cyber tip-offs from the U.S.-based National Center for Missing & Exploited Children through CyberTipline. After technical verification confirmed circulation of prohibited content, police registered cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
