What happened
The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approved a draft Uniform Civil Code Bill. The draft is scheduled to be introduced in the Assembly’s Monsoon Session. UPSC may ask whether a Uniform Civil Code advances equality, gender justice, and legal uniformity, or whether exemptions and implementation design are needed to protect tribal cultural autonomy and personal liberty.
