West Bengal's newly elected BJP government has presented its first state budget.
The focus is on fulfilling electoral promises, such as providing financial aid to women and increasing dearness allowance for state employees, while also addressing fiscal deficits.
The budget projects increased revenue through higher central grants and tax collections.
