NIMHANS opens ‘database’ to aid research on sleep disorders among stroke patients
First open-access database on stroke-related sleep studies.

A collaborative project between NIMHANS and IIIT Hyderabad has produced India’s first open-access database of sleep studies from ischemic stroke patients. This resource, called iSLEEPS, provides detailed data collected from September 2018 to December 2021 and aims to facilitate research on sleep disorders post-stroke to potentially enhance patient care and recovery.
The launch of a sleep disorders database for stroke patients marks a significant step in health research, relevant for health policy discussions.
