Pakistan’s Olympic gold-medallist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem will not compete in the Diamond League meet in Lausanne during August. Coach Salman Butt stated that Arshad Nadeem will focus on preparation for an upcoming international event and for the Asian Games in Japan later in the year.

Coach Salman Butt said Arshad Nadeem is training in Lahore. Coach Salman Butt also stated that Arshad Nadeem is expected to depart for South Africa for several weeks under coach Terseus Liebenberg and local trainers.
After the South Africa training camp, coach Salman Butt indicated that Arshad Nadeem is expected to compete at the World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Budapest from September 6 to 14.
