What happened now (Union Cabinet extension of PM-Kisan)
The Union Cabinet approved continuing the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme from 2026–27 to 2030–31. The approved total outlay is ₹3.15 lakh crore. PM-Kisan provides farmers an income support of ₹6,000 per year.
