The Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises visited the Khadi and Village Industries Commission CREATE centre at Handloom Bhawan, Leh, and reviewed Pashmina yarn production. The visit matters because it connects a traditional craft economy with a formal technology-enabled rural enterprise model.
What happened
According to the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi visited the KVIC Centre for Rural Enterprise Acceleration through Technology (CREATE) during his visit to Leh, Ladakh. He observed the woollen Pashmina yarn production process and noted the role of the centre in supporting local artisans.
