What happened

India and Australia have launched the Australia-India Partnership for Cyber, Critical Technologies, Supply Chains (PACTS). The initiative is meant to support national and regional security, promote collaboration to make critical supply chains more resilient, and strengthen cooperation in critical technologies, cyber security, and digital resilience.

Background

PACTS builds on the 2020 Framework Arrangement on Cyber and Cyber Enabled Critical Technology Cooperation. That earlier framework created the basis for structured cooperation between the two countries in cyber and technology domains.
