CAPF e-Awas Portal for registration and allotment of residential quarters
CAPF e-Awas Portal enables online registration, allotment, and inter-force transfer of residential quarters for Central Armed Police Force personnel

- The Ministry of Home Affairs has developed a digital platform for CAPF residential-quarter registration and allotment.
- Central Armed Police Force personnel are the intended users of the residential-quarter portal.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has developed the CAPF e-Awas Portal to manage registration and allotment of residential quarters for personnel of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The portal matters because residential housing is a welfare and administration issue for security forces, and digital allotment can make the process more transparent and easier to monitor.
What the portal does
The CAPF e-Awas Portal provides a single online platform for three linked functions:
UPSC can link the CAPF e-Awas Portal to e-governance in welfare delivery, administrative transparency, and personnel management in internal security forces. The portal also offers a starting point for questions on force welfare, accommodation shortages, and the management challenges of Central Armed Police Forces.
