What happened (announced administrative position)
The Ministry of Education stated that enhancement of digital education and infrastructure is handled through the centrally sponsored flagship scheme Samagra Shiksha. The Ministry clarified that establishment of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) labs and smart classrooms follows operational guidelines contained in “Samagra Shiksha – Framework for Implementation”, rather than a stand-alone allocation of Rs 100 crore.
