As India prepares to celebrate the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, the Ministry of Ayush’s Yoga Sangam Portal has crossed a significant milestone with registrations reaching 6 lakh organizations.
Yoga Sangam Initiative
The Yoga Sangam initiative aims to connect institutions and communities through synchronized yoga sessions based on the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), allowing participation beyond single locations.
Participation Breakdown
More than 3.22 lakh government institutions, nearly 2 lakh educational initiatives, and over 16,000 NGOs have registered, illustrating a broad spectrum of involvement from various sectors.
