The High-Level Committee on Demographic Changes called upon the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah at his Residence in New Delhi for a courtesy meeting.
The Committee informed the Union Home Minister about its decisions to visit various States/UTs to gather first-hand details from State Governments and interact with Central Government Ministries for feedback on demographic changes.
A detailed questionnaire has been prepared for States/UTs to gather relevant information, making the visits more meaningful.
Union Home Minister Shah appreciated the strategy formed by the Committee and directed the Home Secretary to support the Committee during its operations.
