The Ministry of Civil Aviation is set to enhance the aviation sector in India with the approval of the country’s first Private Point-in-Space (PinS) Instrument Approach Procedure for helicopter operations at Undavalli Heliport.
Developed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and sanctioned by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), this procedure follows DGCA regulations and aligns with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.
The introduction of PinS procedures reflects a significant shift in India's helicopter operations and highlights the government's commitment to modernizing aviation infrastructure.
