India is nearing completion of its first bullet train corridor – the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR). This line will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad in about 1 hour 58 minutes, covering approximately 508 kilometers.

The MAHSR will have a design speed of 350 km/h and an operational speed of 320 km/h, utilizing Japanese Shinkansen technology for its construction and operation.

A standardized template is being developed for future bullet train corridors, which aims to implement proven engineering designs and accelerate project execution. This approach will enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
