Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare organised a National Multistakeholder Consultation on the National Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Zoonoses: A Strategic Framework with One Health Approach in New Delhi.

The consultation brought together senior representatives from various sectors to deliberate on strengthening India's response to zoonotic diseases.

Dr. Rakesh Gupta emphasized the need for multisectoral coordination, enhanced surveillance systems, and skilled workforce deployment.

The proposed National Action Plan aims to provide a comprehensive framework for governance and response strategies.
