Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized that Artificial Intelligence (AI) could lead to a substantial increase in India's agricultural economy.
He stated that Agri-Startups are essential for India's agricultural future, suggesting that the next startup revolution should originate from farms.
Dr. Singh spoke at the 17th Agriculture Leadership Conclave 2026 in New Delhi, stressing the importance of collaboration among stakeholders for technology adoption.
He noted that agriculture must embrace innovative technologies faster than ever and highlighted India's goal of achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070.
Dr. Singh mentioned that AI could save farmers around Rs 5,000 annually, potentially creating a Rs 70,000 crore value addition.
