The Ministry of Labour & Employment announced that seven Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) healthcare projects will be inaugurated on 14 July 2026. The package is worth about ₹668 crore and is intended to serve around 53 lakh beneficiaries across India.
The main physical inauguration will be the new Outpatient Department (OPD) Block at ESIC Hospital, Sanathnagar, Telangana. Six other projects will be inaugurated virtually in Assam, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
What the projects cover
The official list includes one upgraded 200-bedded hospital, one 100-bedded hospital, one ESIS hospital, and four ESI dispensary-and-branch-office or dispensary facilities. The stated objective is to improve access to outpatient care, inpatient care and social security-linked healthcare services for insured workers and dependents.
Key project details
The Telangana facility at Sanathnagar is described as a new OPD block at ESIC Medical College & Hospital with a built-up area of 43,611.04 sqm and a total cost of ₹211.13 crore. It is stated to serve 12,30,183 Insured Persons and beneficiaries in Telangana.
