BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers visited Bosch Global Software Technologies and the CII Green Business Centre in Hyderabad during the 12th BRICS Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting. The visit matters because it links India’s BRICS Presidency with two structural themes in the labour market: digital transformation and sustainable industrial growth.

The Ministry of Labour & Employment said the delegation included Labour and Employment Ministers and Heads of Delegation from BRICS countries, along with Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Sushri Shobha Karandlaje. The visit was part of the official programme of the BRICS labour ministers’ meeting organised in Hyderabad under India’s BRICS Presidency.

What the delegation saw

At Bosch Global Software Technologies, the delegation interacted with senior leaders from Bosch, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and Global Capability Centres. The discussion focused on how Global Capability Centres are being used for innovation, research and development, product engineering, artificial intelligence-enabled solutions, and global business transformation.

At the CII Green Business Centre, the delegation was briefed on India’s work on green buildings, resource efficiency, Environmental, Social, and Governance practices, and sustainable industrial development. The Ministry described the centre as a Centre of Excellence that has supported environmentally responsible business practices while improving competitiveness, resilience, and quality employment.
