The workshop is important for UPSC because it links a women’s livelihood mission with mission design, digital monitoring, and inter-state implementation under DAY-NRLM.

The workshop ended with a strategy, roadmap, and Annual Action Plan for FY 2026–27. The stated aim is to expand the number of rural women with annual incomes of at least ₹1 lakh through farm and non-farm livelihoods, market linkages, convergence, and digital management information systems (MIS).
