What happened
The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) signed and renewed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to deepen collaboration in healthcare quality and innovation.
IPC renewed its collaboration with CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR-CIMAP) and signed a new collaboration with Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University (DSMNRU), Lucknow. IPC stated that the collaborations aim to strengthen research, quality standards, and institutional linkages.
IPC collaborations with CSIR-CIMAP and DSMNRU reflect a standards-and-capacity-building approach: herbal medicine quality work (research, standardization, quality evaluation) and assistive-device assessment protocols (quality, safety, performance). The DSMNRU MoU also extends pharmacovigilance training through a sign-language module to reduce accessibility barriers in adverse drug reaction reporting.
