What happened: Centre continues CSS support for district & subordinate court infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh

The Ministry of Law and Justice stated that infrastructure development for District and Subordinate Courts is primarily the responsibility of State Governments or Union Territories (UTs). To augment State/UT resources, the Central Government continues a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) for Development of Infrastructure Facilities for Judiciary in the District and Subordinate Courts since 1993-94 and applies it in Andhra Pradesh.

Under the CSS, the Ministry described the scheme structure and the Andhra Pradesh-specific status during Financial Year 2026-27:
