Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh delivered remarks at a Kargil Vijay Diwas programme held at the Kashmiri Cultural Centre, New Delhi. The Jammu Kashmir Peoples’ Forum organised the event in collaboration with the POJK Youth Forum. Ms. Bansuri Swaraj attended as Guest of Honour, and Kargil War veteran Col. K.K. Sharma (SC, SM & Bar) presided. The release also named Sh. Mahinder Mehta as Convenor of the Jammu Kashmir Peoples’ Forum, along with the POJK Youth Forum as a unit of Mirpur Balidan Bhawan Samity.
Dr. Jitendra Singh described Kargil Vijay Diwas as an occasion for remembrance and renewed national resolve. Dr. Jitendra Singh said Kargil victory symbolises the courage of the Indian Armed Forces and India’s commitment to safeguard unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
