What happened: Rajnath Singh limits dialogue with Pakistan to PoK
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid tribute to fallen soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas at Drass, Ladakh. Rajnath Singh said dialogue with Pakistan would be only about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Rajnath Singh contrasted India and Pakistan’s directions. Rajnath Singh said India focuses on innovation, including semiconductors, space technology, and digital payments. Rajnath Singh said Pakistan promotes terrorism, infiltration, radicalisation, and proxy warfare.
Rajnath Singh also stated that the Indian government has given the Indian armed forces a “free hand” to respond decisively to threats. Rajnath Singh expressed confidence that no adversary would dare cast hostile intent while Indian soldiers guard the borders.
