What happened: MY Bharat is scaling structured Experiential Learning Programmes for youth
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, under Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), is running structured Experiential Learning Programmes (ELPs) to give youth practical workplace exposure. The programmes are delivered in collaboration with Government departments, public institutions, and partner organisations, with jointly validated digital certificates generated through the MY Bharat portal.
Government-announced outcomes since the launch of the MY Bharat platform include reported enrolment and programme counts
- More than 1.22 lakh youth have enrolled - Total ELPs: 25,063 - Total applications: 1,22,477
Background and earlier position: ELPs aim to close the classroom–work gap
MY Bharat ELPs use a supervised, assignment-based learning model under host organisations. Each ELP has defined learning objectives and assigned tasks, with supervision and completion requirements. Participants observe institutional processes through field and office-based activities. After host verification of completion, a jointly validated digital certificate is generated through the MY Bharat portal.
