What happened (announced actions and numbers for West Bengal)

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah stated in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that eligible cooperatives and farmers in West Bengal can register digitally at any time for cooperative access, and that procurement and seed supply activity is already underway.

Digital registration and uptake in West Bengal:

- e-samyukti (NCCF portal) is an open digital platform for eligible PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies) and other eligible cooperative entities and farmers to register at any time. - e-samridhi (NAFED portal) is an open digital platform for eligible PACS, cooperative societies, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organisations), and farmers to register at any time. - Registration on both portals has no state- or region-specific restrictions, according to the Lok Sabha reply.

West Bengal portal registration counts reported:

- 62 PACSs registered on e-samyukti. - 10 PACSs registered on e-samridhi.
