What happened: Ministry of Home Affairs expands e-visa entry ports

The Government of India, through the Ministry of Home Affairs, notified 11 more International Ports to enable entry into India for foreigners holding an e-visa. The newly added ports include 9 land ports and 2 airports.

The Ministry of Home Affairs communication states that, with the latest additions, the total number of international ports enabling entry of e-visa holders increased to 88, comprising 37 airports, 38 seaports, and 13 land ports.

As per the Ministry of Home Affairs list, the e-visa entry points are spread across three categories: airports, seaports, and land ports.
