What happened (Aug 18 pledge meeting at Pusa)
Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan will administer a pledge to officials of both ministries at the Pusa campus in New Delhi on August 18. The pledge meeting is tied to the “Sapt Dhara of Shakti” outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address on August 15.
The August 18 programme will focus on:
Departmental roadmaps for agriculture and rural development.Expansion planning for the Lakhpati Didi programme.Important decisions affecting farmer interests and rural communities.People-centric implementation with transparent monitoring to convert the “Viksit Bharat by 2047” vision into actionable plans for agriculture and rural development.
