What happened (Rajasthan Lakhpati Didi outcomes and next target)
On 18 August 2026, the Ministry of Rural Development (PIB release) reported announcements made by Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding the women-focused rural livelihoods push called Lakhpati Didis in Rajasthan. The update combines two official outcome numbers—women counted as Lakhpati Didis so far and the new state-level target—with an official disbursement figure through banks for entrepreneurial support.
According to the PIB release, the Rajasthan status and target are:
• 16 lakh women in Rajasthan have so far become Lakhpati Didis.
• The government announced a doubling of the target to 32 lakh Lakhpati Didis for Rajasthan.
• The government stated that ₹13,400 crore has so far been disbursed to women through various banks to support their entrepreneurial activities.
