What happened
The Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India entered into an agreement with One2X Tech Pvt. Ltd., Delhi to support the commercialization of Fixit, an indigenously developed agentic AI platform.
TDB’s support is intended to help Fixit move from a developed technology into a commercially deployable enterprise platform by strengthening areas such as AI orchestration, enterprise integrations, security, and scalability.
TDB’s announcement links the effort to India’s stated vision of positioning India as a global leader in artificial intelligence while building sovereign and indigenous AI capabilities.

Agentic AI is described as an evolution of artificial intelligence in which AI systems can: understand an objective, decide the next course of action, work with connected systems, and continue toward an intended outcome.
