What happened: delivery of INS Mangrol to the Indian Navy
Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), Kochi delivered the third Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft named Mangrol to the Indian Navy on 21 Aug 2026. The Indian Navy induction matters because an ASW platform is designed to detect and counter submarines in coastal waters, where maritime trade, fisheries, and coastal security are vulnerable.
