What happened: government-reported governance and service delivery numbers
A set of government-informed statistics covered five governance areas: police digitisation for cyber financial fraud, infrastructure project cost performance, electoral roll revision in Meghalaya, minimum average balance penalties collected by banks, and AB-PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) health coverage and authorisations.
1) e-Zero FIRs for cyber financial fraud: Delhi’s registrations
Delhi reported 6,115 e-Zero FIRs registered since May 2025 for cyber financial fraud cases. Delhi’s count was reported as the highest among 18 states and union territories that implemented the e-Zero FIR system for cyber financial fraud cases.
2) Infrastructure projects above ₹150 crore: cumulative cost overruns
A government report for June 2026 reported cumulative cost overrun data for infrastructure projects worth above ₹150 crore each.
