A public interest petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking urgent intervention to protect Sonam Wangchuk’s health. The petition says Wangchuk’s health has deteriorated after several days of fasting at Jantar Mantar.
A bench asked the Centre and the Delhi government to file responses by Thursday because the matter was treated as urgent.
UPSC may connect this case to Article 21, public interest litigation, judicial review, and the balance between the right to protest and the State’s responsibility to protect life and health.
