Student protesters gathered at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry and action against persons responsible for alleged irregularities in recruitment competitive examinations.
The protest demands included cancellation of the Preliminary Test of the 14th JPSC Civil Services Examination and review of examinations where protesters alleged the involvement of TSR Data Processing Private Ltd..
Protesters also sought action linked to alleged irregularities connected to the JPSC Combined Civil Services Examination and the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JSSC-CCGL).
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren told students that investigations are ongoing, said paper leaks are a wider national problem affecting youth across states, and stated culprits will be sent to jail. Soren said the government is open to suggestions from students and candidates.
