What happened

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed student protesters in Ranchi and said the Jharkhand government’s responsibility is to ensure justice for youth protesting alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations for government jobs.

Students protested at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in Ranchi for about 16 days against alleged irregularities in competitive examinations used for government job recruitment.

Hemant Soren mentioned competitive examinations including the JPSC Combined Civil Services Examination and the JGGLCCE (Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination).

Hemant Soren said strict action would be taken against those responsible and stated that individuals involved had already been identified.

Hemant Soren urged students to have faith. He warned that political parties may mislead students by mixing truth with falsehoods and said the protest issue should be resolved through dialogue rather than force, with justice served transparently.
