The Aam Aadmi Party accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of ignoring Punjab’s core concerns during his visit to the state. The party said the visit turned into a political attack on the Punjab government instead of an answer to issues such as farmers’ deaths during the protest, a legal guarantee for minimum support price, and alleged withholding of state funds.
The Punjab unit of the Aam Aadmi Party described the visit as a failure and said the Centre had not announced a financial package for the state. Party leaders also alleged that more than ₹50,000 crore was being withheld under the Rural Development Fund and other heads.
