What happened: Bhogapuram airport dedication with paired connectivity and industry announcements
Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh to the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated development projects worth over ₹17,900 crore as part of the same event.
The Bhogapuram airport was constructed at a cost of more than ₹5,640 crore through a public-private partnership model involving GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration bundle is described as covering airport infrastructure, road connectivity, and energy-related works.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also virtually laid the foundation stone for a ₹2,500 crore semiconductor manufacturing facility by ASIP Technologies at Taruvvada in Visakhapatnam.
