FSSAI ordered Dabur India Ltd. to withdraw food products that carried allegedly misleading purity-related claims using “100%” wording.
FSSAI directed Dabur to halt sales of the identified products and other products bearing similar misleading “100%” purity-related claims, and to file an action taken report within 15 days.
What FSSAI said was wrong with the “100%” claims
FSSAI said the challenged “100%” claims were ambiguous and unverifiable and may mislead consumers under FSS (Advertising & Claims) Regulations, 2018.
