What happened
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approved a package of measures for Godavari Pushkaralu 2027. The package combines security planning, financial support for a cooperative marketing body, and a welfare scheme for handloom workers.
The Cabinet cleared a government guarantee for a ₹300-crore term loan for the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Marketing Federation. It also sanctioned ₹50 crore for festival security and approved the Nethannala Sevalo scheme for eligible handloom worker families below the poverty line.
UPSC can frame Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 around state preparedness for a large religious festival, the use of government guarantees in cooperative finance, and targeted support for handloom households. The issue also allows questions on crowd management, cooperative institutions, and direct benefit design for vulnerable occupational groups.
