What happened
The Delhi High Court asked the Delhi government and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi to submit a detailed report on the steps taken to comply with Supreme Court directions on removing stray dogs from public spaces. The Bench said the court wanted to balance the concerns of people who support dogs and those who oppose their presence, while noting that dog bites remain a daily problem for ordinary residents.
The court directed that the compliance report be filed by 31 July.
