What happened
The Central government approved all 28 projects proposed by the Delhi government under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the approved projects have a total cost of ₹1,647 crore.
The Centre also approved an additional ₹756 crore incentive for the Delhi government to recognise higher expenditure from its own resources.
Project focus
The approved list includes metro-related works, the Barapullah elevated corridor, the Karawal Nagar flyover, EV charging stations at Delhi Transport Corporation depots, and other road infrastructure works.
