Family accounts described arrests on the night of July 25/26, detention at police stations, and transfer of detained persons to Patna’s Beur Central Jail.

In Patna, police booked 144 protesters.
Police stated that about 25 people had been released so far in Patna and reported that a students’ union leader was among those released.
