What happened

Police said the accused, Manish Bhatti, was posted with the Anti-Auto Theft Squad. The victim, Priyanka, was 30 and worked as a teacher at a private school.

The family alleged that Bhatti had harassed Priyanka for dowry since their marriage in 2023. Police said Bhatti has absconded and a murder case has been registered.

What police have said

Investigators said the couple left home around 3 a.m. and CCTV footage allegedly shows them arguing near Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital before the shooting. Police said the matter is being verified.
