What happened
Delhi is carrying out a month-long special intensive revision of voter rolls. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are going door to door, helping residents fill enumeration forms and collecting documents needed to update the rolls.
The exercise matters because BLOs must identify absent, shifted, deceased and duplicate voters across 13,033 booths. Many residents are confusing the exercise with a voter-card renewal drive, although the field work is meant for roll verification rather than card replacement.

Delhi has a frozen roll with 1.45 crore voters. The note says 1.40 crore forms have been distributed and 14.03 lakh forms have been digitised so far.
