Border district policing, electoral-roll integrity, and cross-border smuggling emerged as linked concerns at the Land Border Districts’ Superintendents of Police Conference 2026 in New Delhi on July 9. The conference is relevant for UPSC because it connects internal security, border management, and the protection of democratic processes such as voter-list preparation.
