What happened (conference directions and agenda)
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the National Security Strategies Conference-2026, a two-day conference held in hybrid format. He directed security agencies to take strict measures against infiltration and asked police chiefs to detect and deport illegal migrants.
The conference agenda also included discussions on information warfare and the need for a bio-security framework. Amit Shah called for AI-based analysis of information on Multi Agency Centres (MAC) platforms to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for national security challenges.
The conference was held in hybrid format with more than 850 participants. Attendee categories included Union Home Ministry officials, Intelligence Bureau leadership, heads of central armed police forces, police chiefs from states and Union Territories, young officers, and domain experts joining virtually.
